After-School Aviators
Special Weekday Adventures for Kids!
After-school programs are available Tuesday afternoons for Grades 1-5 and Thursday afternoons for Grades 4-8. Elementary programs focus on hands-on aircraft construction and basic flight simulation. Middle school programs feature special aircraft encounters and advanced flight simulation. Each session meets one day per week from 3:30 PM-4:50 PM for four weeks.
Flight Explorers
Grades 1-5
Tuesdays
October 12th, 19th, 26th and November 2nd
$50 per child ($45 Members)
Investigate the world of aircraft by building and flying a variety of small models, including airplanes, helicopters and gliders. Explore the cockpits of real aircraft in the Museum's Gallery and enter the flight simulators to discover the thrill of flying different aircraft.
Pilot Training
Grades 4-8
Thursdays
October 14th, 21st, 28th and November 4th
$50 per child ($45 Members)
Discover the life of a pilot while mastering checklists, flight plans and preflight inspections of real aircraft. Learn to start, taxi and fly an airplane in the flight simulators and successfully complete a simulated mission to a nearby airport.
