Aviation Day Camp 2015

Winter/Spring Aviation Camp is a week-long program in aviation and aerospace for campers currently in Grades K-6.

Summer Aviation Camp is a week-long program in aviation and aerospace for campers entering Grades K-8 in Fall 2015. High school students aged 14-17 as of June 1, 2015 may apply as Aviation Camp Volunteers.

Children entering kindergarten in Fall 2015 and who will be 5 years old no later than June 1st, 2015 (February 1, 2015 for winter/spring sessions) may register for Elementary Aviation Camp.




Topics

Seven different topics are offered for Summer 2015, with two additional spring topics. All camp programs include:
  • Hands-on Activities and Flying Models
  • Flight Simulation Sessions
  • Aircraft Demonstrations
  • Behind-the-Scenes Museum Gallery Explorations
  • Aviation-Themed Games
  • And Much, Much More!

Full and Half Day Schedules

Children are divided into age-appropriate groups. Two different schedules are available:
    Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM
    Half Day 9 AM to 12 PM*
    *Half Day only available for the Pilot Cadets and Flight Science Lab topics, which may also be taken for the Full Day. See camp topic schedule for details.

Full Day campers in elementary programs participate in four major projects and two free choice activities daily. Half Day campers have two major projects and one free choice activity each day. Half Day is only available for the Pilot Cadet and Flight Science Lab camps.

Full Day campers in Advanced Camp programs participate in six major projects daily. Half Day is not available for these camp topics.

Extended Hours

Extended Hours are available for an additional fee.
AM Extended Hours are 8 AM—8:50 AM, PM
Extended Hours are 4 PM—5:30 PM (5 PM only for February and April camps).

Parental Permissions

Parents with campers already enrolled in a camp program who have not enrolled online may download the Camper Information and Medical Form and fill it out prior to the camp start date. Bring this form with you on the first day of camp. DO NOT MAIL THE FORM TO THE MUSEUM AHEAD OF TIME.
