Summer Aviation Camp

Aviation Day Camp 2010

Aviation Day Camps are week long adventures for campers entering Grades 1-6 in Fall 2010. Three different camp topics are available, each with engaging hands-on experiments, exciting flight simulation missions, unique museum experiences and up-close aviation encounters. Each camp includes:

  • Hands-on Activities and Flying Models
  • Flight Simulation Sessions
  • Aircraft Demonstrations
  • Behind-the-Scenes Museum Gallery Explorations
  • Aviation-Themed Games
  • And Much, Much More!
Children are divided into age-appropriate groups. All camp topics are open to Grades 1-6, but Flight Simulation sessions and hands-on projects may vary by grade level. Two camp schedules are available:


Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM*
Half Day 9 AM to 12PM*
*Sign-in begins at 8:50 AM. Extended hours available for additional fee.

Full Day campers participate in four major projects or activities daily, Half Day campers two. Half Day camp is not available for the Air & Space camp topic. Extended hours are available 8 AM—8:50 AM and 4 PM—4:50 PM for an additional fee.

Campers entering Grades 6-8 are invited to enroll in Camp Skyhawk, an experience for advanced aviation enthusiasts. Students who will be at least 14 years old on June 1st, 2010 are invited to consider joining our Aviation Camp Teen Volunteer team.



Parents with campers already enrolled in Aviation Camp or Camp Skyhawk may download the Camper Information and Medical Form and fill it out prior to camp start date. Bring this form with you on the first day of camp. DO NOT MAIL THE FORM TO THE MUSEUM AHEAD OF TIME.
