Become a museum volunteer...Give the gift of time.
The mission of Volunteer Services at the Hiller Aviation Museum is to foster knowledge about the history of aviation and the future of flight. With even a small commitment of time, you can play an integral role in the fulfillment of this mission. It's a great opportunity to share your excitement and enthusiasm about aviation, while making a positive impact in the community.
Volunteers enjoy:
* Inspiring young people and the general public about the science of aviation
* Developing a high level of aviation knowledge and expertise
* Access to historical information and exhibits
* An opportunity to develop new skills
* A chance to make new friends
How to Volunteer:
Adults - Complete a museum
volunteer form to begin the volunteer process.
From there, you'll be contacted by phone to schedule
an interview. Interested candidates will attend
a volunteer orientation, then train with an active
volunteer.
Teens –
Students who will be at least 14 years old as of June 1st, 2010 are encouraged to apply for the Aviation Camp Teen Volunteer team. Volunteers help elementary school campers with a variety of exciting hands-on aviation activities and experiences, including model aircraft construction, flight simulation, and encounters with real airplanes and helicopters. Download our Aviation Camp Teen Volunteer Announcement for more information, and fill out our Aviation Camp Teen Volunteer Application to apply today.
Based upon your interests, availability, and the museum's needs, a volunteer schedule will then be developed. Volunteers who can work a minimum of one four-hour shift a week are especially desirable. We look forward to receiving your application
