Partial Solar Eclipse Event
The Hiller Aviation Museum is open on Monday, April 8th to host public viewing of the solar eclipse! Solar eclipses occur when Earth’s Moon appears to pass in front of the Sun, blocking part or all of its light. On April 8th, a total solar eclipse will be visible along a thin line arcing through Mexico to Texas to Maine. Observers in San Carlos and the rest of the San Francisco Bay Area will see a partial eclipse, with more than one-third of the Sun covered at 11:13 AM.
Witness this unusual celestial spectacle safely at the Hiller Aviation Museum. Weather permitting, solar telescopes and projection walls will be available to view the eclipse 10 AM – 12 PM. The first 100 visitors will receive solar glasses at no charge, with additional glasses available for purchase in the Gift Shop for a nominal fee.Â
The Hiller Aviation Museum is open 10 AM – 5 PM on April 8th with viewing opportunities from 10 AM – 12 PM. The maximum partial eclipse viewing will be at 11:13 a.m.
Event included with Museum admission.
