Like an aircraft on takeoff, you will traverse the length of the entire 2,600-foot runway of San Carlos Airport. This is one of the most unique running, walking, and strolling experiences in the Bay Area.

Rules:
- Runners and walkers only permitted on the course. Strollers ok. No pets, skateboards, bikes, or rollerblades permitted.
- Walkers, please start at the back of the pack. On Skyway Road, walkers, stay to the right on the sidewalk. Runners, pass on the left.
- Entry fees are nonrefundable. If you are unable to participate, you may transfer your registration to another participant.

Course Maps:
The 5K and scenic 10K are run-out and run-back courses with turnarounds that will be clearly marked.
The 2K is primarily a loop on the runway and taxiway.
All three courses finish at the nose of the Museum’s 747 aircraft.

Rules
- Runners and walkers only permitted on the course. Strollers ok. No pets, skateboards, bikes, or roller blades permitted.
- Walkers, please start at the back of the pack. Walkers welcome on the 2K and 5K. Walking is not recommended on the 10K, as participants must complete the course within 90 minutes.
- Entry fees are nonrefundable. If you are unable to participate, you may transfer your registration to another participant.
Courses
5K and 10K are certified races with chip timing.
2K is a fun run.
The start and finish to all three races is at Hiller Aviation Museum, 601 Skyway Road, San Carlos, CA 94070.
The 2K and 5K are entirely paved roads, while the 10K is split between trail and paved roads.
5K/10K Awards
Prizes for the overall male, female, and nonbinary first place winners of the 5K and 10K:

Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive on Race Day?
- Suggested arrival time is 6:30 to 7 am.
- Doors open at 6:30 am on Sunday, April 13. Races begin at 7:30 am. Latecomers cannot be accommodated.
- Participants must be at the Start/Finish line by 7:30 am, or they will not be permitted onto the runway.
What’s the parking situation?
- Parking is free!
- Follow parking crew instructions to best available parking.
- Allow up to 15 minutes to park and walk to the Museum.

Should I go to Advanced Packet Pickup?
Yes, Advanced Packet Pickup is highly recommended for everyone. Make your Race Day morning a breeze by stopping by Sports Basement in Redwood City on Saturday, April 12 between 11 am and 4 pm to pick up your bib. For standard registrants, you may also pick up your medal, t-shirt, and goodie bag.

Who needs to register?
All participants with feet on the runway should register and have a bib. Registration is not required for those in a stroller/carrier.
Can I visit Hiller Aviation Museum after the race?
Yes, your race bib entitles you to Race Day admission to Hiller Aviation Museum. Just show your 2025 bib for same-day re-entry. The Museum is open until 5 pm. For more info and hours for special museum activities–such as Flight Sim Zone, Drone Plex, and Invention Lab–please click here.
